Pre-voting starts this coming Monday, August 26th. Have you decided who to vote for?
P-Rep candidate and Telecom company DSNC could be a viable option. We had them fill us in on a bit of their campaign platform. Read on to learn more:
1. Tell us about your team.
My name is Dimcho Spasov and I am the founder of DSNC team. We are an IT consulting and investment company with a small team, joining together to create a new field of expansion in the cryptocurrency area. Our aim is to be part of the ICON Network as a P-Rep candidate. Because of that, we keep growing and our doors are kept open for everyone who wants to join us and help us grow together.
2. Why would you like to become an ICON P-Rep?
With the changes we see in the global economy, and the way the old fiat money system works, we are glad to see that cryptocurrencies are still growing. Some of them are providing really good value and better services than old systems, but others are just projects without any idea or future. After our marketing research in the cryptocurrency field, we decided that we wanted to be a part of this new cryptocurrency movement and our choice is the ICON Network. The reason for our choice is because we don’t just want to invest our money, we want to be part of the ICON Network as a P-Rep. This demonstrates that we are not in it to make a gain and run. Instead, we plan to stay and contribute as much as possible to grow as an ICON P-Rep, and also grow the ICON Network as a whol
3. Why should the voters vote for YOU?
Our aim is not to convince the ICON members to vote for us at any cost, but more to show them who we are and what our aim is. We are here to stay and we promise to provide a very good service and keep bringing investors and developers to our P-Rep node, so they can contribute to the ICON staking process and the DApps we will create. We know how to manage and run multiple companies, so this will help us in the process of ICON governance and decision making. Not only that, but the most important part is to keep the node and the network secure and stable for block production and distribution. Our contribution to ICON Network regarding adoption and bringing awareness to the people will be done through our different media channels like our website, YouTube Channel, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
4. What do you like about ICON? What sets it apart from other blockchain platforms?
We started looking at cryptocurrency projects in 2017. We completed our market research and due diligence to learn more about what projects were offering and providing. Based on our research, we chose to work with ICON Network. ICON Network has many positives. They are a very good team that keep growing and improving all the time and most importantly, are not focused on their position on CoinMarketCap like most other platforms out there. Many developers recognise SCORE as a very good platform for smart contracts. ICON’s ability to help and support DApp projects on their platform, and support DApps financially is also a big plus. For developers, it is very important to have reliable support. In the end, the main reason we would like to join the ICON Network is to “hyperconnect the world”, which is also our aim.
5. How do you envision a decentralized ICON network? Why is decentralization important?
Well, we all know how centralization is going, right? It can be good in some areas which require responsibility, but can also be worse in other areas where those in power can take control and manipulate the process as they wish. For ICON and other similar projects, this process should be decentralized so that no single group will have control of all products, processes and the network as a whole. The model of 22 P-Reps responsible for producing blocks and decision making is a good option for spreading out responsibilities and control. Problems could occur if, after a while, those 22 Main P-Reps are replaced by a group of very powerful companies joined together. They could crash the decentralised system and change to a more centralized ICON Network. This is why the ICON Network should create a proper system in place that will secure the rules and purposes of decentralization on the ICON network before switching to a completely decentralized network.
