ICONLOOP announced Monday that it had recruited a pair of platform experts from Kakao and SK Planet, two of Korea’s largest platform companies.
Director YJ Chung joins ICONLOOP as a Business Management Officer. Most recently Kakao’s Vice President in charge of social platform development, Chung also worked at tech giants Samsung Electronics and Naver.
Director Woong Kim joins ICONLOOP as a Product Management Officer. His career includes stints at Naver, SK Telecom and, most recently, SK Planet, where he headed the group in charge of the platform’s many services.
Both men boast over a decade of experience and expertise. The two will offer advice and support to companies and teams working on blockchain-related projects.
By adding the new recruits, ICON says it has begun full-scale efforts to expand its public blockchain ecosystem.
Korea’s largest blockchain platform says it completed much of the technical preparation needed to support DApp development teams since updating its MainNet to version 3.0 on Sept. 18. The updated network now supports smart contracts.
