1. Tell us about your team.
Our team members bring in diverse backgrounds, from business consulting, to finance experience and strong technical skills. At block42, we focus exclusively on blockchain technology and provide development and consultancy services to our customers. We are experienced in a various set of blockchain frameworks, but mainly focus on Ethereum, Hyperledger and ICON.
2. Why would you like to become an ICON P-Rep?
Our greatest ambition at block42 is to see blockchain technology flourish. ICON is one of those projects which is capable of making a huge impact. Therefore, we would like to support this ecosystem and leverage its full potential towards mass adoption.
3. Why should the voters vote for YOU?
We are not just talking, but we are doing! We’ve started several activities which contribute to the ICON ecosystem, like the ICON Europe initiative, developing a calculation tool for re-staking various options or building an on-chain governance tool. That is just the beginning. Once we’re voted in the top 22, we will expand our efforts in order to make ICON a worldwide success story.
4. What do you like about ICON? What sets it apart from other blockchain platforms?
We’ve been closely attached to ICON since its ICO and carefully watched the progress it made. What convinced us the most are two things: a strong community behind the project and a core team which is doing amazing work. Furthermore, the approach to move towards real decentralization is exactly what blockchain technology is about. In our opinion, ICON is one of the first projects that is accomplishing this transformation in a sustainable and sophisticated way and we are very excited about that.
5. How do you envision a decentralized ICON network? Why is decentralization important?
A governing and lead-taking institution like the ICON Foundation is and, in our opinion, will always be necessary, even in decentralized networks. But what definitely will change, compared to centralized organisations, is the distribution of power towards many stakeholders. This will, in the end, result in much fairer and more transparent decisions made by the network. More and more participants will join, because they really do have a stake in the game — it is written in the code, that their voices are heard. Greedy and excluding behaviour will be punished. Fair and including behaviour, on the other hand, will be rewarded. This is the real potential of decentralization. And technologies such as blockchain will change the world for the better and empower those who contribute and participate.
