The interchain NFT entertainment platform HAVAH now has its own brand website.
Korean game company 2bytes Corp. announced the development in a press release Friday.
Not so long ago, the HAVAH project was called SPERA. But as 2bytes Corp. explained, SPERA was a simple NFT-based game platform.
HAVAH, in contrast, aims to be an interchain NFT entertainment platform, an NFT community portal and playground that provides not only games, but also social media, financial applications and other services.
2bytes Corp. is working with ICONLOOP and the ICON Foundation on the project.
According to the press release, HAVAH will use an “interchain NFT transmission protocol” that will enable you to use NFTs anywhere, regardless of the blockchain platform on which it was minted.
“The wide use of NFTs beyond the limitation of being tied to a chain has been a growing demand by many users recently,” said Youngwang Lim, HAVAH project lead. “The HAVAH team will work tirelessly to make the project a centerpiece of that evolution by creating a community for those who are passionate about NFTs, and by becoming a space where all users can connect with each other.”
And from Havah’s Medium page:
“Users who purchase NFTs on their own chains can bring their NFTs onto the HAVAH ecosystem by using the interchain bridge.
By bringing their NFTs onto HAVAH, users get the following benefits.
- Show off their NFTs from various chains in one place, and browse other users’ NFT collections.
- Use newly minted NFTs in DApps (as game items, etc).
- Get a stake in the running of HAVAH by contributing to the ecosystem.”
If this “interchain NFT transmission protocol” sounds a bit like BTP, that’s because it basically is.
As the ICON Foundation’s Dr. ICON explained in March, though HAVAH will be a separate blockchain, it will use ICON’s BTP technology.
More specifically, he said, “They will use BTP and create new NFT interchain that specialized in game. It will help ICON transactions by using CFT, Balanced and ICE.”
2bytes Corp. also announced the development of “Crypto Gears,” the first interchain service blockchain game to be released on the HAVAH platform.
The company says it aims to “reinvent the Play-to-Earn (P2E) genre into Play-to-Get (P2G), where the focus is on the game’s playability and not just as a means to make money.”
We don’t know much about the game yet, but here’s the universe description:
“Humanity has failed in its attempts to terraform Mars using automated robots due to the emergence of a virus-like AI that corrupted the system.
In response, the Crypto Gears, with heightened security and maintenance protocols were developed to finish terraforming efforts.
With the advent of the Crypto Gears, a new Mars gold rush has begun with mega corporations competing or collaborating to extract resources and reap massive profits.
Welcome to Mars, the new frontier of human expansion…”
To celebrate the launch of the brand site, all subscribers to the HAVAH newsletter will get a special HAVAH NFT. Users can go to the new HAVAH brand site and sign up for the newsletter to participate in the event.
