June 2. 8 a.m. EST.

That’s when the collaborative DeFi game Wonder Game will hold its mint/pre-sale.

Wonder Game had originally intended to hold its pre-sale on May 27. However, an issue popped up on Harmony, and the team postponed the big dance.

According to the Wonder Game team, the pre-sale will last 36 hours, or until the pre-sale limit is reached.

The public sale, meanwhile, will take place on June 3, 10 p.m. EST.

While Wonder Game initially planned to peg the mint price at USD 150 to prevent arbitrage between IX and ONE, current market conditions have encouraged the team to fix prices in ICX and ONE. They also reduced prices to “accommodate the current market sentiment.”

The new prices are:

  • 250 ICX to mint through ICON Bridge
  • 2000 ONE to mint directly on Harmony

This isn’t written in stone, though. The Wonder Game team says, “If the price of one of the currencies drops drastically, we will revise the price before the launch.”

While the pre-sale is a big deal in-and-of-itself, for many ICON watchers, the real draw is watching ICON Bridge in action for the first time.

Described as “BTP Lite,” the interoperability solution does everything BTP does, albeit minus the trustless, decentralized mechanism that will make the full version of BTP especially awesome.

During the Wonder Game pre-sale, users can use ICON Bridge to mint on Harmony using ICX.

According to Elise of the ICON Foundation, ICON Bridge is “good to go”:

According to a recent AMA with ICON’s technical lead for BTP integration, ICON Bridge will first integrate Harmony and BSC, and Ethereum shortly after.

To be clear, while the Wonder Game pre-sale represents ICON Bridge’s first use case, it does not represent ICON Bridge’s “launch.”

The Wonder Game presale is proof that ICON Bridge is ready,” writes Elise. “I am hesitant to put an exact date on the ‘launch’ though, bc ‘launch’ includes the unveiling of Nexus (front end) + additional testing that may be required, all of which could move the dates around a little bit.”

She adds, “Nexus will not be launching on the 27th, but when it does, we will be able to see all the transactions that occurred in the backend during the Wonder Game presale.”
