The hard fork is nigh.
It’s almost time for stage 2 of the migration to ICON 2.0 to begin. This means P-reps have a bit of preparation work to do.
ICON 2.0 Product Manager “Nym” put out an announcement calling on P-Reps who run a node to upgrade loopchain to the latest version before Oct. 26. The ICON Foundation has even put together handy instructions on how to do this.
Further instructions for setting up Goloop, the engine powering ICON 2.0, will be announced through the ICON Foundation’s Twitter account, Telegram (@icondevs) and Discord.
“We expect some down time during the upgrade for a couple of hours,” said Nym. “Unexpected technical issues could prolong this downtime and we will inform the community in real time if that’s the case.”
The ICON Foundation expects ICON 2.0’s mainnet to go live by the end of the month.
