ICON has renewed its website. And what a lovely website it is.

Here’s what we like:

  • Clean, minimalist design
    • Plenty of negative space. Copy is strong and to-the-point. Image use minimal but effective. Very slick, very professional.
  • Puts BTP front and center
    • Or at last at the very top: The tagline reads, “Connecting Blockchains and Communities. ICON is a public blockchain protocol building a hyperconnected future with BTP, our chain-agnostic interoperability solution.” This is as it should be — ICON seeks to hyperconnect the wall, and BTP is the key to making that happen. BTP gets another shutout in the homepage’s second section, too.
  • Pimps CPS
    • ICON’s decentalized grant program is one of the network’s coolest features. And a big swath of the new front page is dedicated to it. It sings the praises of CPS’s easy application process, consistent payouts and other key CPS strengths. Hey, you don’t even need KYC.
  • Cool ecosystem page
    • ICON provides a simple, interactive page that lets visitors “discover the blockchains, dApps, communities, infrastructure, enterprises, and institutions that make up the ICON ecosystem.”
  • New educational tools
  • (Potentially) helpful glossary
    • OK, there isn’t a lot there right now. But as they say, mighty oaks from little acorns grow. And with some of the workaday terminology we’ve got in the ICON community, it’s not like we haven’t needed something like this.
  • Pushes the Discord
    • ICON has been promoting its DIscord community, and the new homepage reflects this, with a prominent sign-up button at the top and pride-of-place in the Community menu.
