Our team here at The Iconist took an in-depth look at the ZenSports app today, and we liked what we saw.
Built on the ICON public chain, ZenSports is a mobile peer-to-peer sports betting marketplace where anyone can create and accept bets with anyone else in the world. They accept crypto or fiat as payment and there’s no need for a centralized bookmaker. Bettors can create bets with odds and terms they set. If there’s interest, others in the marketplace have the option to accept those bets – and then it’s game on!
As one might imagine, the sports betting industry has been hit hard by COVID-19, with many (most!) leagues being suspended around the world in keeping with social distancing recommendations. If readers have any interest in sports betting at all and want to help support an ICON project, ZenSports would be worth checking out.
It’s also worth mentioning ZenSports’ payment options: They take BTC, and also have their own SPORTS token that customers can use to earn discounted betting fees, get cash back, bonuses and other rewards. They also accept USD via Tether (USDT) or Skrill Digital Wallet. And soon, ZenSports will be launching the ability to deposit fiat via debit card and wire transfer on March 31st.
