The NFT-based space exploration game Project Nebula is off to a great start with players claiming over 700 worlds since the game launched two weeks ago.
The developers of Project Nebula released an exciting update following their launch on July 27.
In a Medium post published Tuesday, the game’s developers thanked players, shared statistics on the launch and previewed features to come.
Exploring a massive universe
Since the game’s launch, players have created 609 ships, claimed 705 worlds and colonized 34 out of 157 Legendary planets, the game’s second rarest kind of planet.
Players have yet to discover two Mythic planets, the rarest of the game’s planet categories (check out the artwork for this one on sale — it’s so Yes album cover-y. And yours for only ICX 1,000,000).
Additionally, players have discovered and are mapping several new regions, including Diaspora, Shroudlands, The Silent Cluster, The Veil and The Great Divide.
It’s a big, big universe out there.
Craft your own spaceship?
Project Nebula is an immersive sci-fi strategy game powered by ICON and NFTs. Players can collect and trade valuables, explore different worlds, colonize planets and build civilizations whilst competing against others.
Soon, players will soon be able to craft their own NFTs using planetary resources and blueprints, too.
With the upcoming crafting expansion, you can create new consumable items, upgrade your spaceship or even create new spaceship NFTs — all of them tradable in the Project Nebula Marketplace.
Project Nebula also said that they will release a new generation of ships soon, even teasing that many of them have already been designed.
If you’re following Project Nebula on Twitter, you’ll notice that they have been actively interacting with fans and hosting giveaway events.
On Thursday, they gave away a free NFT spaceship to one lucky user who liked, retweeted and clapped for their article on Medium.
