Well, not yet, but probably soon.

Local fintech company Danal Fintech announced Monday that users of its Paycoin app could use Bitcoin at 70,000 shops across Korea, including convenience stores CU and 7-Eleven, coffeeshop chain Holly’s Coffee and the massive Kyobo Book Centre.

Well, more specifically, you could use the app to convert your Bitcoin to Paycoin, and use the Paycoin to make offline purchases.

“Well, so what?” you might ask. Well, this is what: according to Yonhap News, Danal Fintech plans to expand the payment service to other cryptocurrencies, namely ETH and ICX.

You read that right. Soon, you may be able to buy coffee with ICX in South Korea. Heck, you could even buy a beer. Cheers!
