In its latest announcement, ICONLOOP has appointed James Kim, Chairman and CEO of the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea (AMCHAM), as its first advisor.

James Kim has 30 years of operating experience working in Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial companies both in the U.S. and South Korea, including being CEO at the Korean divisions of GM, Microsoft and Yahoo. Since 2014, he has been serving as AMCHAM’s Chairman and CEO, contributing to the successful entry of global companies into Korea. Through his advisor role, he hopes to expand enterprise businesses and establish business direction and macro strategies for ICONLOOP.

“Having been in the IT industry for a long time and running global companies, I believe in the value that blockchain business will have as the next-generation IT infrastructure, and in the growth potential of ICONLOOP based on its previous moves and achievements,” Kim said.

Kim’s experience is a positive addition as ICONLOOP continues its efforts to become a more mature IT company in the blockchain industry. His 30 years of industry-recognized management expertise is a particularly favorable boost to the growth of ICONLOOP.

Kim stressed the importance of expansion: “This is a crucial time for ICONLOOP to expand its business in more concrete and practical ways as the blockchain industry is about to fully grow into a blossoming market. I will help ICONLOOP become a global IT company leading the international stage.”

“It is an honor to move into the global market hand in hand with James Kim, who has already built up prior experience and know-how in a number of global IT companies,” said ICONLOOP CEO, Jonghyup Kim.
