(A probably unnecessary explanation that we’re posting anyway)

If you’ve been reading The Iconist for a while, you probably noticed that our logo is suddenly different. The ICON logo is no longer a part of ours, but we still pay homage to it with our colors. The new script is more… let’s just say it… “newsy”.

Why did we make this change? It’s primarily to emphasize that we are a separate organization from ICON. We always have been, but there’s been some confusion among some readers and members of the community.

Secondarily, we wanted a logo that emphasizes that our editorial independence and commitment to high quality journalism are integral to what we do. Hence the less flashy and much more… I’ll type it again… “newsy” logo.

Do you love our new logo? Do you hate it? Could anything matter less? Hit us up on Twitter and let us know.
